Blog For Boston

Pretty scary stuff this week after the Boston Marathon Bombings, but this is America and that's not going to stop us from doing what we do .... I do have some thoughts, but will let the events breathe for now.

So I present to you my trivial blog post about the everyday boredom of my life because if I stop doing this then the terrorists win ...

I went 5-for-5 in going to the gym this week, four times in the morning before work then once during lunch. I've found that going to Gold's Gym any time after 5 p.m. is meat-head central so I try to avoid going after work to avoid the gym bros ...


I found a little beginners lifting workout and then combined it with the Couch-2-5k program to ease back into the swing of things:

Monday

Bench Press  4x 12,10,10,10 (135)
Incline Bench Press  2x10 (95)
Skullcrusher (Machine)  3x 10 (100) 

Tuesday
Walk (3.5 MPH) 5 min.

Jog (5.0 MPH) 1 min.
Walk (3.5 MPH) 1:30

Walk (3.5 MPH) 20 min

Wednesday
One Arm Dumbbell Row 3x 10 (30
Standing Barbell Curl  3x 8 (50)
Military Press  4x8 (95)
Dumbbell Lateral Raise 3x10 (10)

Thursday
Walk (3.5 MPH) 5 min.

Jog (5.0 MPH) 1 min.
Walk (3.5 MPH) 1:30

Friday
Leg Press  4x 12 (180),10,10,10 (270)

I'm not trying to bore you, but I hope this will help me feel more accountable. Carry on until next friends ...
